Fun in Merstham - Funds for overseas

On Saturday 8 May two of our members hosted "A Full English Breakfast" The food was fabulous and great value. £239 was raised which included income from the sale of ginger wine and marmalade. There will be an opportunity to buy MAP's ginger wine and marmalade at the Autumn Harvest on 23 September

Our  AGM had a twist as G and M also stands for Gateaux and Meringue! It was held on 10th  May and we are gratefully to St Teresa's Church for the use of their community room for the meeting.
Our Treasurer's report was presented and it was noted that MAP had raised over £250,000 since it started in 1982.  The report can be found here
. The committee was re-elected en bloc and the guest speaker was from Pump Aid. The delicious puds were enjoyed by all.

This was held on Saturday 8 April and raised over £170 for  MAP funds

Ding, dong, bell,
Pussy’s in the well.
The old English Nursery rhyme reminds us that there is more to a clean water supply than just a well with rope and bucket
Cats and other foreign bodies in your drinking water are not a good idea. So an you image how Pump Aid design their pumps to get the clean water out of the well and prevent dirt, dust, people (and cats) getting in and causing contamination and disease? Read the latest news from Pump Aid here and follow the links to the video of an "elephant pump"

The event was held on a bitterly cold day which resulted in fewer than expected visitors. Cakes were fantastic! Over £130 raised for MAP's funds

more cakes

This raised £320 for MAP to give to our partners
